Haringey's Real Rebels

Haringey Community Action Network

Haringey Community Action Network (HCAN) was set up in 2022 to bring community and campaigning groups together with trade unions across Haringey.

HCAN is an alliance of people across the borough who share a common objective of challenging inequality and oppression and building a society that rebalances power and wealth in favour of the majority.

Marchers fill a Haringey street behind a red "We demand the right to food" banner, with the yellow Haringey Community Action Network banner flying behind.

The member groups are autonomous, but call on each other for support and solidarity. We campaign on local and national issues that affect people in Haringey. These include: food poverty; public spaces and services; affordable, decent homes for all; climate and biodiversity; migrant justice; anti-racism; trade union disputes, and more.

Campaigners outside McDonald's holding "Planet over Profit" and "Haringey says enough is enough" banners.

As many of the struggles overlap, our affiliated groups find common ground and shared purpose. We bring together our knowledge and experience of campaigning and representing people to the greater good of people in Haringey.
